Goldsmiths University in South London has always been a hub for exciting new talent. London-based singer/songwriter Brooke Bentham is the latest Goldsmiths graduate to turn heads with her effortlessly cool melancholy bedroom pop. Her latest single 'Losing, Baby' follows the release of her debut EP The Room Swayed, which identified the budding solo artist as one to keep an eye on for this year. It's a stunning, minimal affair, which places the emphasis firmly on Bentham's gorgeous melodies and understated vocals as atmospheric pianos and quietly building drums swell beneath. The accompanying video, created by film-making duo Grace and Alex Lightman, was intended as an “alternative ending to Dirty Dancing – Baby was put in a corner and now she’s back to drag everyone into her grotesque nightmare.” -HLMX
